When you enter a casino, the odds are against you walking out with more money than you walked in with, but some believe there is a way to do it. When it comes to blackjack, for example, counting cards has long been thought of as a way to get an edge over the house - something that has to happen if you want to take control of fate and not rely soley on luck to win. But what about a game such as craps, where all you do is roll dice? Some believe there is a way to control your outcome and gain an edge, through something called Dice Control.
There are only two possible ways to affect the outcome of those two six sided dice when you toss them down the craps table - by using a crooked dice (or some other method of mechanical cheating) or by controlling the way the dice fall by the way they are tossed. Most players may think such a thing is impossible, and they may be right - but others swear by the method of Dice Control.
With Dice Control you toss the dice in a certain way to enhance the probability of a certain number showing when they land. This is no guarantee - you can't say "six" and get sixes every time you throw - but (if this method is for real) you can increase the number of times a six will show over a set number of throws. If you can influence the odds in any fashion, then you can gain an edge over the house, which gives you the profit over the long run. |
