The Fibonacci gambling system is yet another idea for how to make money playing roulette that is based on a mathematician, who was somehow unlocking the secret to casino games while living in the days when the Vikings were still pushing the world around.
The system is based on Fibonacci Sequence, which is the brainchild of Italian mathematician, Leonardo Pisan (1170 – 1250). From his hometown of Pisa (a city famous for things that lean a bit off center), he came up with the mathmatical sequence that modern gamblers have tried to pass off as a rosetta stone for blackjack.
Let's start this off with a fact: the Fibonacci System does not work. It is more passive than most other blackjack systems, so players will simply hemorrhage cash at a slower pace playing this way. For those who won't simply take someone else's word for it, and feel they must try this for themselves, here is how the system is played.
When starting to play the Fibonacci system, a player will begin with one unit on an even-money bet. A unit can be whatever the player decides. It can be $1, $20, $100, $37, etc. Because the ultimate aim of Fibonacci sequence is to win one unit, if the player wins on their first bet, nothing happens. They simply start the sequence on their next bet. The system kicks in with the first loss.
If the first bet is a loss, mark down the number 1 on a piece of paper. The next number in the sequence will represent how big the next bet will be. For example, you have "1" marked down on your paper, this will be the size of the next bet: 1 unit. If the next hand ends up in a loss for you as well, then your next bet will be 2 units.
If you win, scratch off the last two numbers from the sequence. A sequence is concluded when all the numbers have been scratched out. See the table below for details.
| Bet and Outcome | Fibonacci Sequence | Accumulated Loss/Win |
| Bet 1 unit and lose | 1 | -1 units |
| Bet 1 unit and lose | 1-1 | -2 units |
| Bet 2 units and lose | 1-1-2 | -4 units |
| Bet 3 units and lose | 1-1-2-3 | -7 units |
| Bet 5 units and win | 1-1-x-x | -2 units |
| Bet 2 units and lose | 1-1-2 | -4 units |
| Bet 3 units and win | 1-x-x | -1 unit |
| Bet 1 unit and win | End of sequence | +1 unit |
| The sequence has been won and you start from scratch again |
