If the hand you're dealt contains the Joker:
1. Keep all hands that are three-of-a-kind or higher, except hold four cards to the royal flush, even if it means discarding a paying hand of lower value.
2. Remember: the Joker is part of whatever combination you're looking for.
3. Keep any four-card straight flush and a four-card flush if it includes K, A or both.
4. Keep three cards to a royal flush.
5. Keep a paying pair of high cards (King & Ace)
6. Keep any three cards to a straight flush.
7. Keep any four-card flush without King or Ace.
8. Keep consecutive four-card straights.
9. If not dealt any of the above, hold onto the Joker.
If you're dealt a hand without the Joker:
1. Keep all paying hands, except hold a four-card royal flush.
2. Keep any four cards to a straight flush and any three cards to a royal flush.
3. Keep four cards to any flush.
4. Keep any pair of 2's to Queens.
5. Keep any three cards to a straight flush.
6. Keep any four-card consecutive straight.
7. Keep two cards to a royal flush if one the cards is an Ace or a King.
8. Keep unsuited King and Ace.
9. Keep a King or Ace alone.
10. Keep two suited royal flush cards lower than King or Ace.
11. If dealt none of the above, draw five new cards.
Remember: When playing Kings or Better Joker Wild, take time to study each hand carefully before reacting. Don't allow yourself to become rushed and be sure to take your time. The video poker machine could care less how much time you take to select a hand. Also, if the machine does not seem to be paying out in a suitable manner, don't be afraid to change to another machine or even another game. |
