Perhaps you are getting ready to take your first trip to a casino, and are looking for what games to play. Sure, you know what Blackjack is, and everyone and their brother is talking about Texas Hold ‘Em, but some of the games just aren’t familiar, are they? Well, fear no more. It’s time to explain the less common games, and make you more prepared for the casino. Consider this Chapter One of your casino survival hand book. This chapter is on the games that need a little explanation.

The first game that needs explained is Keno. Basically, playing Keno is like playing the lottery. As a matter of fact, playing Keno is exactly like playing the lottery. Don’t worry, you’ll see soon enough. You’ll get a pencil and a card that has 80 numbers. What you as the player need to do at this point is pick a predetermined amount of numbers (usually 10 -15, although some casinos to have a “pick 20” option). Once your numbers are chosen, you turn them in for a receipt. Keep this receipt: you will need it if you win and want to collect your money. After that, wait for the numbers to come shooting out. The numbers will be chosen at random, and if you win, it’s time to go collect that cold, hard cash! If you didn’t win this time, don’t worry: Keno drawings usually happen every 20 minutes or so, which means you’ll have another chance to be a winner in no time.
