WinPoker's cards are very reminiscent of those used on commercial VP machines, and even have a little animation thrown in. The overall feel and appearance is an excellent simulation of a real casino video poker machine, complete with familiar sound effects. The cards are dealt one at a time and the speed can be adjusted by the player. Dealt cards can be held by clicking either the mouse or by using the 1-5 keys. There are 15 built-in games including Double Bonus, Double Jackpot Bonus, Double Double Jackpot, All American and the popular Double Joker Poker. Players also have the option of playing with the Double-Up feature and there is a "four play version".
Players can select several training modes with WinPoker, once of which actually holds the correct cards for the player. Another mode warns the player if they make a mistake, and shows the difference, while another allows players to change the play. In each of these modes the player selects "details" they will be shown in a table of all possible draws. There is a 'No Draw Mode' as well as a mode with no warnings or messages at all but still keeps the accuracy statistics when the player can review whenever by analyzing 'Current Session' or 'Overall Play'.
WinPoker is the only software that has the ability to analyze games that use a kicker for the bonus quads, such as Double Jackpot Bonus, Double Double Bonus, etc. The program also allows players to analyze many more variations of games than any of the other software commercially available.
Although WinPoker is a very powerful program, it is designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced players alike, and that allows the user to learn while they play, without the messy side effect of losing their bankroll in the process. |
