Named after the original brass donkeys, which launched boats with a well-placed kick at the 1893 Chicago World Exposition, the Brass Ass Casino is Cripple Creek, Colorado’s oldest casino, and is open daily 8am-2am. Located inside two of the town’s original buildings, the 2,627 square foot casino features 202 slots as well as Video Poker and Video Blackjack machines. The Brass Ass offers olde town décor, including antique street lamps, western build facades, and the first Cripple Creek lighted sign, which originally hung in front of H.H. Rosser’s Pool Hall.
Every day visitors to the Brass Ass Casino have a chance at the Ass-Kickin’ Double Jackpot, where the good people at the casino pays out double if a player wins a hand-paid jackpot between 8-9:30 am, 11:30-1:15 pm, and at the bottom of every hour. The Brass Ass is also currently promoting the Money Match: Match For Cash Game. All you have to do is compare the last 3 digits of your Triple Play Club Card to the last 3 digits on the casino’s $100 bill, and if they match—you win!
Although there is no restaurant on site, the Brass Ass Casino provides its playing visitors with free hot buttered popcorn, cold fountain drinks, and hot dogs. Although there are no lodgings available at the Brass Ass Casino itself, it is part of the larger Triple Crown Casinos, which also owns the Midnight Rose Hotel and Casino and JP McGill’s Hotel and Casino, both of which are located an easy walk up the street. Visitors from all across the country have discovered this wonderful gaming resort, nestled in the mountains with its spectacular views, reasonable prices, great food, wonderful lodgings and friendly and helpful locals. The Brass Ass also offers its visitors a unique western-style gift shop. |
