Located West of I-15, Wild Wild West Gambling Hall & Hotel is open 24 hours a day. The 8,000 square foot casino features 240 slots and seven table games. The property has two restaurants and a hotel with 262 rooms. Due to its proximity to the Interstate and the huge parking lot designed for big rigs and RVs, the Wild Wild West Gambling Hall attracts a lot of long-distance truckers and travelers uncertain of where to stay while in town, as well as the local blue collars.
The casino has four (4) Blackjack tables, 1 crap table, 1 mini-crap table, and 1 roulette table. $3 minimums on all the save for the roulette which is $2 a spin. Machines include 158 Penny Slots, 38 Nickel Slots, 29 Quarter Slots, 4 Half-Dollar Slots, 8 Dollar Slots, as well as such favorites as Betty Boop's Big Hit, Wheel of Fortune Progressive, Atronic's I.C. Money, Megabucks, and Video Poker. The cocktails are reasonably stiff and if you play Video Poker you’ll be provided with plenty of free booze.
The Sports Book is fairly decent for a small casino, with 13 televisions, five of them fairly good-sized. All TVs are on sports, since there is no race book, and there are 20 barstools available for viewing. There are three (3) betting windows with non-electronics signboards, and a $5 minimum wager. While it lacks “party” atmosphere, this is a reasonably quiet place to check out the big game. There is also the Gambler’s Grill on the premises that claims it is known for its ribs and the Loose Trax Bar & lounge, which provides drinks and pub-style food and the typical low-end Vegas lounge acts.
Wild Wild West Gambling Hall & Hotel is owned by Station Casinos, Inc. and its Wild Card slot club pays back the same as all the Station Casinos. While it calls itself a “hotel”, this is really a motel with a clean, slightly small rooms designed for nothing more than sleeping and watching television. However, the rooms can be had for as low as $20 on weeknights if you call the hotel directly. While this is far from a gambling destination, the staff is friendly and easy-going and it is a safe, clean and inexpensive place to stay for low-rollers on a tight budget or those more interested in saving the bankroll for the tables at the big casinos. |
