Bugsy Siegel originally built the Flamingo back in 1946. Unfortunately he used money from organized crime figures. When it didn't turn the sort of profit they had anticipated, Bugsy was killed. This history from the founding days of Vegas adds a mystique to this hotel that simply lacks in many others. Of course had the mob financiers seen the hotel today, they would throw Bugsy a party instead of shooting him in the head.
This hotel sits on perhaps the most desirable real-estate in all of Las Vegas. It sits on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, in the heart of the strip. It is a stones throw from the international airport and are incredibly close to many Las Vegas attractions.
The rooms at the Flamingo are comfortable, fashionable, and offer the choice one king or two queen beds (upon availability at check-in). The rooms include the traditional amenities somebody would expect from a Las Vegas hotel, including internet access, cable TV, safes, and a number of other creature comforts provided for the pleasure of the guest.
The hotel staff will make your stay as care-free as possible by providing their visitors with currency exchange services, safety deposit boxes, 24-hour security, a concierge, free valet parking, elevators, wake up service, dry cleaning service, daily maid service, rollaway beds, free parking, multilingual staff, on-site car rental, ATM banking, and anything else they can think of to keep you happy and relaxed.
As would befit one of the founding hotels of the Vegas strip, the Flamingo offers some of the best gaming in the city. They boast a massive 77,000 square foot casino that offers over 2,100 slots, video Poker machines, a Race & Sports Book, and a myriad of table games, including Roulette, Blackjack, Craps, and Poker. |
